In 1997/98, when I became famous throughout my school for always getting in trouble, my parents forbade me from watching 'The Simpsons'. Vintage-era Simpsons is one of the cleverest works of art of our lifetime. Your nan seems to have had an unpretentious intelligence that educated people have beaten out of them.

It paints such a picture and I understand how much you loved her. Not just that she was nicer than the rest of your family but clearly such a source of love and joy for you. Dementia is so so cruel but if my last ever moment is my grand-daughter singing to me and stroking my head then I'll leave this world in peace.
